Overview

Windsurf was Cognition's AI-first IDE. On June 2, 2026 Cognition relaunched it as Devin Desktop, an agent command center that manages local and cloud agents from one Kanban view. The editor, extensions, keybindings and LSPs remain backwards-compatible with Windsurf and VS Code. It runs any Agent Client Protocol agent, including Codex, Claude Agent and OpenCode.
